The Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility (FinBIF) has today published the first annual version of the checklist of Finnish species. FinBIF maintains a national checklist of Finnish species, which is publicly available in the portal Species.fi. The checklist has been built since 2013. FinBIF gathers up-to-date information about Finnish species into the checklist. The checklist is dynamic and changes with updates. A citable checklist is created by periodically publishing astatic version, which does not change after the publication. Checklist 2018 is the first static version and the first checklist of Finnish species. This first annual version consists of species and lower taxa and their common names in Finnish and Swedish, if available. Synonyms and other data are available through the portal Species.fi. The checklist is available: laji.fi/checklist
