The Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility (FinBIF) has today published the annual version of the checklist of Finnish species, Checklist 2019.

FinBIF maintains a national checklist of Finnish species, which is publicly available in the portal Species.fi. The checklist has been built since 2013. FinBIF gathers up-to-date information about Finnish species into the checklist.

The checklist is dynamic and changes with updates. A citable checklist is created annually by publishing a static version, which does not change after publication. Checklist 2019 is the second annual version.

This annual version consists of species and lower taxa and their common names in Finnish and Swedish, if available. Synonyms and other data are available through the portal Species.fi.
